Disney!

Our Disney trip started with a 4:30 AM departure. Not only was this the boys first trip to Disney, but also their first time on an airplane! After the flight, we rented a car and the boys were asleep before we even left the lot. After they had a little nap, we started our first of 4 days at Disney. We quickly learned that phones were a great way to keep them entertained in the lines (which suprisingly enough, were not bad at all for it being Christmas time). Disney was so much fun! The boys were the perfect ages and never complained once about all the walking! One night, we even stayed out until 2 in the morning at the park! It's amazing what churros and soda can do! We definitely had a blast and will be going back again soon!

LEGOLAND!

We went to Legoland for a day of our vacation. The boys enjoyed it just as much as Disneyworld! After we mapped out our day, we headed towards the park. There were some cute photo opportunities upon entering, so we took advantage of those...note to self, climbling on the legos was not a good idea. Westin fell down the blue dinosaur within seconds of entering the park and ended up scraping his leg. I thought the day was going to be over, but after we convinced him they were totally cool Lego stripe scars, he got over it within minutes and we still had a blast (phew)! Legoland is a must do if you are in the Orlando area! I'm still working on pictures from Disney, I just have to figure out which of the 400 I want to put on the blog :0

A Christmas Concert to Remember...

I was so excited to see Westin perform in his very first school Christmas concert. I have memories of these from when I was a kid, and couldn't wait to see his performance (since he had been practicing and working so hard on it). As a proud mom, I sat in the audience watching every other class perform, Kindergarten was last as usual. It was the last song before the Kindergarten class was to go on and I felt a tap on my shoulder. To my surprise, Westin's teacher had picked me out of the audience to let me know Westin had just thrown up in the line to go on stage :-( He couldn't have been any more upset, not because he was sick, but because he had to miss the show he had worked so hard on! So kindly, the teacher let him go up on stage for the final song but he wasn't allowed to stand next to the rest of the kindergartners, only off to the side. I knew we only had a few min left before round 2, but he did it and he was so happy, despite being miserable.
