Home Depot and Bike Riding

While Daddy's away, we will play! Today started off at the park bike riding, then we followed up with a Home Depot Workshop. You may not be able to tell by the pictures, but those are some fancy battery organizers the boys made. I was suprised at how well they did with the hammer. Westin hit his finger a few times but he would always yell "I'm okay". They were very proud of their projects and when I made that known to them that Westin said "that's because we got to practice using hammers on our piggy banks and we're good now"! I love these kids!! Following the project they received a certificate of completion and a Home Depot apron.

Piggy Bank Slam

Today we had a "Piggy Bank Slam" at our house. The boys had a lot of fun hammering their piggy banks to see how much money they each had inside. The grand totals were Westin coming in at $25.94 and Hudson at $25.21. Mommy and Daddy bought them each a newer, bigger piggy bank. Now they are really ready to save!

Formal

Matt's department here at West Point has an annual dining out. It's always a formal, so we get dolled up! We let the boys take pictures of us before we left. Hey, they tried! You'll notice some of the pictures of Matt he is wearing sunglasses. He and some other guys were actually part of the entertainment of the evening with their musical abilities! It was a lot of fun!

Snow and more snow...

This winter has been a crazy one here in NY! I think they said we received more than 50 inches in the month of January alone! I'm from IL and will admit, I've never seen anything quite like it. Despite the crazy Winter, we've still managed to have a good time. We go to alot of Army Basketball games (where the boys always insisted on checking out the hockey rink) and even got outside to play a time or two. Now that the weather warmed up (almost to 40), we couldn't wait to stop in at Mcdonalds for some Shamrock Shakes! Come on Spring...
