Every year DUSA (Daughters of the United States Army) puts on an Easter Egg Hunt for children. This year because of the rain, hardly any one showed up! This only meant one thing....we had a lot of eggs to collect! Not only did the boys collect over 100 eggs, but then we found out that if you had any solid colored eggs you had won a prize! The boys together had 5 solid color eggs and we walked away with a handful of cool prizes! Thank you DUSA for putting on a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt. We won't forget this one for awhile!
Today we dyed our eggs, and of course we had to have a Toy Story theme! We had a blast making our eggs into Buzz and Woody (and even had some Angry Bird eggs thrown in too). When we were all finished I asked the boys if I could get a picture of them with the completed eggs. Hudson got the eggs right under his nose and says "I smell poop"....I explained that what smelled were the eggs and the look on his face was priceless....I'm guessing the two of them will not be eating any of our eggs this year :-)
Today was our first Easter Egg Hunt of the year. It was a cold one!! I think it may have been warmer when we met Santa than the Easter Bunny. Oh well...While Westin braved the thorny bushes, Hudson searched in the open field for his eggs. They both did great. Westin found 20 eggs and Hudson found 17. Sadly, the Easter Bunny wasn't able to make it (as he's preparing for the holiday) so he sent his cousin. Westin was not thrilled that I was still taking pictures at the end of the hunt. My days of picture taking are slimming down I can tell! But for now, enjoy...
We celebrated a birthday at The Little Gym this weekend, as always, we had a blast! Westin and Hudson were two of the few boys that were there, but they didn't seem to care ;-) Do we have a future Oympian on our hands?
