We went to see the Easter bunny this week. You can imagine the boys excitement. Once we arrived, Hudson spotted the bunny and started waving from across the mall. Westin on the other hand was not so sure about this bunny business. Once we got their coats off, Hudson immediately ran to the bunny to give him a hug. I quickly realized it's a sad day in Mommy's world when the boys are too big to sit on the bunny's lap :-( My babies are growing up too fast!
Army baseball season is upon us and we have hit up a few of the games. After some of the games the kids are allowed to go down onto the field and say hi to the players and run the bases. The catcher, J.T., is the boys favorite. We do have some baseball "basics" to learn though. Lesson #1 When we say to make sure you touch the bases, this does not mean squat and physically touch it with your hand when you get there. Minor details...
Finally some pictures from St. Patrick's Day. Even though I officially hate this holiday now (for obvious reasons), I figured I would still post pictures from earlier that day. We had a get together at the park to find "lucky" green and gold coins and eat some green bagels with leprechaun cupcakes.
While Daddy's away, we will play! Today started off at the park bike riding, then we followed up with a Home Depot Workshop. You may not be able to tell by the pictures, but those are some fancy battery organizers the boys made. I was suprised at how well they did with the hammer. Westin hit his finger a few times but he would always yell "I'm okay". They were very proud of their projects and when I made that known to them that Westin said "that's because we got to practice using hammers on our piggy banks and we're good now"! I love these kids!! Following the project they received a certificate of completion and a Home Depot apron.
Today we had a "Piggy Bank Slam" at our house. The boys had a lot of fun hammering their piggy banks to see how much money they each had inside. The grand totals were Westin coming in at $25.94 and Hudson at $25.21. Mommy and Daddy bought them each a newer, bigger piggy bank. Now they are really ready to save!
