Merry Christmas!

Santa came to our house one day early this year so we could get on the road before the snow! We started on "Christmas Eve" by sprinkling out some food for the reindeer. Then we came in, opened up our Christmas jammies, popped popcorn and watched a movie (of course, Toy Story 3, since we haven't seen it a thousand times already). The boys were thrilled to wake up in the morning to see Santa had come! We opened presents with the highlights being Hudson's drumset, Westin's I Pod Touch, and Mommy's (and Daddy's) Nikon D5000 camera. Get ready, the blog pictures are about to get even better! Merry Christmas to you and have a wonderful New Year!

The Construction of a Gingerbread Train

Two words...Never Again. Just as the boys began to decorate, we had a train collapse, requiring a little "Christmas surgery". After performing this miracle, we decided to just decorate the caboose. We continued to open up candies only to find out the littlest balls roll all over the place and are impossible to hold on to. Long story short, Mommy and Daddy decided that every Gingerbread Christmas Train needs a ball pit for the children to play! Most importantly, the boys had a great time, and totally agreed with the ball pit idea...score!

Firehouse Fun!

A tradition here at West Point is for the Fire Department to go through the neighborhoods, sirens and all for the holidays. At Halloween, they threw a ton of candy off the trucks! This time around, Santa was on the truck. The kids were thrilled to see him, and they all received cookies and candy canes from the firemen!

School Party

Westin had his classroom Christmas party and of course, I was there to help out! We made spider web Christmas trees (see them sparkle?), prepared reindeer food, and put together bird feeders. Somehow the Crisco bird feeders were not quite as fun as peanut butter ones, but you have to make some minor adjustments when there are allergies! They also decorated and ate sugar cookies. We had a lot of fun! The day was really topped off when Westin was chosen to be the Line Leader!
