Elf on the Shelf and Movie Time

This Christmas we started the tradition of "The Elf on the Shelf". The boys enjoyed waking up every morning looking for the "Elf". On Tuesday, we took Hudson to his first movie in the theater. We saw the Princess and the Frog. I'm not sure what they enjoyed more, the movie or the popcorn. Check out the movie at the bottom of the post!

Our Busy Day

Our busy day began with haircuts. Little did we know, everyone decided to get their kids' haircuts today and we were there for 2 hours. After haircuts we had about 30 min to eat before we headed to the pool. You can tell from picture 2 that Hudson does not like to be rushed. We had a great time at the pool, followed by Hooters, where Westin had his eyes on "things other than Mommy". Tomorrow is movie day! Hudson's first time in a theatre. Westin will show him the ropes (we hope). I love Matt having all this time off!

Wrapping Rolls

Our new "toy of the week" is empty wrapping paper rolls. The boys think they are telescopes! It's amazing how happy a little cardboard can make them.

Christmas Program

Here is a video of the Christmas Program the kids performed for us at MOPS. Don't mind Hudson laying on the floor during the first song. It's "Away in a Manger" and since the song quotes 'asleep on the hay' he calls it the "nigh night song". The finale will conclude with a special song from Westin "We miss you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Root Beer".

Caroling

We took the boys Christmas Caroling today at a local nursing home. After caroling, the boys passed out Christmas cards to the residents. It made their day! Following the singing, we took the boys to Red Lobster. It was hard to get pictures there because they were preoccupied in pointing out all of the "fish".

Army/Navy--Christmas

We had an Army/Navy football/Christmas party today. The big boys had fun watching the game and the little ones and wives had fun exchanging gifts! There was lots of food, including some birthday cupcakes for our friend Brandon! The kids created Christmas stockings to hang on their doors. The sad news of the day was Army lost, and the curse continues...
